Process engineering is the study and application of natural laws and principles that allow people to transform raw materials and energy into products that are valuable to society on a large scale.

Thermal Process Engineering

The processes taking place are summarized under the term fermentation. Mainly the metabolism of yeast, bacteria, algae, and the effect of enzymes are used in bioprocess engineering.
